Pink Ribbon Foundation – Grants of up to £6,000

About the funder

The Pink Ribbon Foundation provides grants of up to £6,000 to UK charities and not-for-profit organisations supporting people affected by breast cancer. The Foundation particularly welcomes applications from smaller organisations with limited financial resources.

Projects should normally be delivered over 12–18 months, although larger grants may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Priority themes

The Foundation supports projects that improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of people diagnosed with, recovering from or otherwise affected by breast cancer.

Funding can support practical and emotional assistance, counselling, complementary therapies, information and advice, and activities that reduce isolation and improve quality of life.

The Foundation also supports initiatives that raise awareness of breast cancer, promote early detection and improve understanding of the disease and its treatment.

Priority is given to organisations with limited financial resources and projects that demonstrate clear benefits for people affected by breast cancer.

Eligibility and exclusions

Applications are welcomed from UK registered charities working in the field of breast cancer. Legally constituted social enterprises and CICs may also be considered where they have relevant experience and their proposed activities provide a clear public benefit.

General cancer charities may apply where at least 50% of beneficiaries are affected by breast cancer.

The Foundation does not fund individuals or projects delivered overseas. Partnership applications are accepted, provided one organisation takes responsibility as the lead applicant.

Deadlines

The next application deadline is Friday 28 May 2027. Grants are awarded annually, normally in late July.

Application process

Applications must be submitted using the Foundation’s application form and sent by post. Applicants must include their latest accounts, and organisations applying for the first time should also provide a letter of introduction.

Only one application per organisation is accepted each year.

Tips for applicants

Applicants should clearly demonstrate how their project will improve the lives of people affected by breast cancer, particularly through practical support, improved wellbeing or reduced isolation.

The Foundation advises organisations to request the amount genuinely needed for their project rather than automatically applying for the maximum grant. Applications should include clear costs, realistic activities and measurable benefits.
