Voluntary and community organisations throughout the UK may apply now for small grants to support events promoting understanding between young people of different faiths during the week of 16-22 November 2014.
The Inter Faith Youth Trust offers grants of between £200 and £500 for events that are organised by and for young people (11 to 25 years) who may be Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, of any other faith or no faith.
Funding will be awarded to projects that support:
– Learning by children and young people from different faiths about different faiths, through social action. Events must include more than one faith and show how social action will promote learning about faiths.
– Co-operation and understanding between faiths which preferably involve young people in planning, running, and evaluating; and which promote equal opportunities.
– Increasing understanding between people of faith and of no faith.
An application form and guidelines can be found on the Inter Faith Youth Trust website.
The deadline for applications is 31 August 2014.
