Grants are available to not-for-profit organisations in the UK for communication solutions and services to support people with special needs. The Foundation is looking to partner and build relationships with organisations that support, research, develop or implement the appropriate specialist communication requirements for those with special needs. The term special needs applies to people with physical, mental, behavioural and/or learning problems, and also the circumstances that create an exceptional situation requiring individualised educational programmes, physical accessibility or care requirements. Grants are available up to £10,000 to support communication solutions and services available to people with special needs with the aim of enhancing their lives by providing accessible means of communicating. Application forms are available to download from the Foundation’s website and completed forms should be returned by email. The deadline for applications is 25 June 2012.
