The Big Lottery Fund are inviting organisations to consultation events to kick off the first stages in developing the new funding vision for the period 2015- 2021.
A great deal has changed since ‘Big Thinking’, but their mission remains the same: to bring real improvements’ to communities and the lives of people most in need’.
They would like to gain your views and ideas to inform who we are as a funder, what we should be doing as well as potential investment areas for Wales.
The investment areas that we are considering include:
• Rural poverty
• Future proofing the third sector
• Support for disabled people or those with life limiting illnesses
• Financial resilience, literacy and inclusion
• Environment, with a focus on community based activities that build social capital.
The consultation will also offer ample opportunity to suggest and explore other potential themes.
We are holding two events on the 9 April at Conwy Business Centre and on the 1 May at Future Inn in Cardiff.
