The directors operate a grant giving policy with a view to making annual distributions of £300,000. They support a wide range of UK Registered Charities. The directors are particularly interested in supporting the following areas of charitable work:-
- Medical research
- Care of the elderly
- General welfare
- Hospices
- The Deaf and Blind
- Care of the physically & mentally disabled
- The Armed Forces
Applications must be received by the end of February or the end of August to be sure of consideration at the Spring or Autumn Meetings.
The directors do not support:
- Individuals
- Young children and infants
- Maintenance of buildings at a local level (e.g. churches and village halls)
- Animal Welfare
- Wildlife and environmental conservation
- Religious Charities
