The Randal Foundation is a growing UK and international funder focused on one clear aim: saving lives and significantly improving lives for people facing serious disadvantage.
It supports charities and organisations delivering direct, measurable impact, often backing projects that are both evidence-led and innovative.
What they fund
The Foundation has a broad but focused set of priorities, centred on high-impact interventions:
- Poverty alleviation (especially extreme or immediate hardship)
- Mental health, particularly crisis and suicide prevention
- Women and children at risk of harm or exploitation
- Healthcare and support for vulnerable people
- Education for disadvantaged groups
- Rehabilitation (including criminal justice)
There is also a global element, including clean water, sanitation, and emergency response work.
Grant size
- Typically £5,000 – £30,000 for UK projects
- Projects are usually expected to be delivered within 12 months
Larger, longer-term funding exists—but this is usually by partnership or invitation rather than open application.
