The Monochrome Angel Foundation is the UK’s only grant-maker dedicated exclusively to improving rabbit welfare. Established in memory of a rescue rabbit called Snoopy, the Foundation supports organisations working to improve the lives of rabbits across the UK.
Priority themes they want to fund
The Foundation provides grants to rabbit rescues, rabbit welfare organisations and educational initiatives that improve rabbit care, welfare, rescue, rehabilitation and public awareness.
Exclusions and if they fund CICs
Funding is available to charities and non-profit organisations working in rabbit welfare. Commercial organisations and projects unrelated to rabbit welfare are not eligible. CIC eligibility is not specifically stated, so applicants should check with the Foundation before applying.
Grant amounts
Grants are available in a range of sizes, with awards made at the Trustees’ discretion.
Deadlines
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Application process
Applications are submitted through the online grant application form available on the Foundation’s website.
Any specific tips to apply
Projects should clearly demonstrate how they will improve rabbit welfare, rescue, rehabilitation or education. Strong applications will provide evidence of need, measurable outcomes and long-term benefits for rabbits.
