The Gosling Foundation

The Gosling Foundation is a private grant-making foundation, which was established in 1985 by the late Sir Donald Gosling. His son Adam is now chairman.

They focus grant-making in three principal areas, based on Sir Donald’s interests and philanthropic priorities. The Foundation has awarded over £100 million in grants since 1985.

 

Charities, CIO’S and CIC’S registered and working in the UK.

Units, establishments and ships of the Royal Navy & Royal Marines.

Youth groups (e.g. sea cadets, scouts, girl guides, performing arts).

Sea cadet applications should be submitted via the Sea Cadet Fund https://cadetfund.org/cadet-fund-apply  

Project costs (if the project directly impacts beneficiaries).

Capital projects which include new buildings, extensions, refurbishments and recreational spaces.

Salaries when for personnel employed specifically to deliver the project.

Projects that help organisations be more efficient and focus on their core objectives (e.g. it projects, moving services online, and projects that improve access to existing support, such as helplines).

Equipment e.g. sporting equipment and furniture.

Events which directly impact grant beneficiaries.
