The Gosling Foundation is a private grant-making foundation, which was established in 1985 by the late Sir Donald Gosling. His son Adam is now chairman.
They focus grant-making in three principal areas, based on Sir Donald’s interests and philanthropic priorities. The Foundation has awarded over £100 million in grants since 1985.
✔ Charities, CIO’S and CIC’S registered and working in the UK.
✔ Units, establishments and ships of the Royal Navy & Royal Marines.
✔ Youth groups (e.g. sea cadets, scouts, girl guides, performing arts).

✔ Project costs (if the project directly impacts beneficiaries).
✔ Capital projects which include new buildings, extensions, refurbishments and recreational spaces.
✔ Salaries when for personnel employed specifically to deliver the project.
✔ Projects that help organisations be more efficient and focus on their core objectives (e.g. it projects, moving services online, and projects that improve access to existing support, such as helplines).
✔ Equipment e.g. sporting equipment and furniture.
✔ Events which directly impact grant beneficiaries.
