The Naturesave Trust

The Naturesave Trust is the charitable arm of Naturesave Insurance, created to promote sustainable development and environmental conservation across the UK. Each grant window has a thematic focus. The current theme is “Nature Connection”, which emphasises connecting communities with natural environments through creative, health, educational, and conservation projects.

Typical project ideas include community gardening, green gyms, conservation volunteering, green skills training, nature mindfulness, arts linked to nature, urban nature programmes, social prescribing via nature, and improving access to nature.

Applications are open to UK‑based organisations, including registered charities, voluntary groups, social enterprises, grassroots community organisations, and even businesses. However, government‑funded organisations and schools are excluded.

Projects must be completely UK‑based, and applicants must maintain a website or social media presence. Grants typically range from £500 up to £5,000 per project. Funding can cover capital and revenue costs aligned with the thematic window—but staff salaries and ongoing core funding are generally not supported.

The September – October funding window is now open. The deadline is 12 noon on 27th November 2025
