Riddell Memorial CIO

Fund small UK-registered charities and CIOs, as well as Community Interest Companies limited by guarantee, working in suicide awareness or prevention. Larger charities (with income over £1 million or unrestricted reserves exceeding 12 months) are unlikely to succeed.

Funding priorities:
Innovative, charitable suicide-awareness and prevention projects. Full cost recovery is acceptable, and core costs may be funded if aligned with mission.

Grant size:
Between £5,000–£25,000, tailored to where it can truly make a difference in pushing forward suicide-prevention efforts.

Timing:
Applications are welcome all year round, assessed on a rolling basis, with successful applications typically funded within three months.

Application process:

  • Round 1: Email a brief memo (max. two sides of A4, 11pt font) to gr****@**********ll.org. Include:
    • Charity details (name, number, address)
    • Contact details
    • Charity overview (aims, website, staff/volunteer numbers, beneficiaries)
    • Confirmation of child protection policy (if applicable) and public liability insurance
    • Forecast income & expenditure for current year
    • Project summary (why it matters, how outcomes will be measured)
    • Latest audited/examined financial accounts
  • Round 2: If shortlisted, you’ll be contacted by the grants team. Depending on grant size, this may involve a trustee video-call or site visit.
