They are offering grants up to £,10.000 to cover the following area:
• Energy and water – direct funding via vouchers or cash to pay energy or water bills
• Wider essentials –items like hygiene products, and other single use items
• Food – supermarket vouchers for the purchase of food or food parcels
• Other crisis support – any other support to meet the immediate needs of vulnerable residents
Preventative support categories (the examples are not exhaustive)
• Advice services – this includes benefit maximisation, budgeting skills and signposting etc
• Skills – cooking classes or digital skills
• Community infrastructure and support – This could include community kitchens or events to promote the scheme and awareness of offers of support
• Energy efficiency – this includes insulation, energy efficient light bulbs, and any other measures to reduce household energy costs
• Other preventative support – would cover anything else related to preventative support not covered by the existing categories
- Organisations applying do not need to be registered charities; however, you must be constituted community group.
- You will need to have at least 3 unrelated Trustees/Directors.
- You will need a bank account in the name of your organisation, and you will need to have at least 2 unrelated bank signatories
