Fletchers Foundation supports individuals and groups in the UK whose lives have been changed by serious injury, medical negligence, or illness. Its aim is to help people “thrive after a life-changing injury.”
Who can apply / eligibility

Individuals affected by long-term consequences of serious injury, illness or medical negligence

Registered charities, schools or local groups working with those individuals/families

Must demonstrate that the need is not being met by statutory services (e.g. NHS)

Applicants (or their families) must not have received or be eligible for compensation for the injury or condition
What they fund / allowed costs

Aids / equipment (mobility, adaptive devices)

Therapies / rehabilitation (physio, hydrotherapy, occupational therapy, CBT etc)

Home adaptations / vehicle adaptations
-
Counselling / mental health support for those suffering ongoing psychological impacts

Group projects or events (by eligible organisations) that show long-term impact
Grant sizes & application frequency

Individuals / local groups can apply for up to £10,000

Charities / schools: assessed case-by-case

You may submit a grant / support request once every 12 months per project/individual
Restrictions / exclusions

They will not fund costs that can be met by statutory services (unless unsuitable or unavailable)

Individuals already receiving compensation or eligible for it are excluded

They do not fund routine “business as usual” activities or replace lost income for organisations

Grants must not promote religious or political causes
Application & timeline

Applications are reviewed monthly — they collate new applications, pass them to trustees on the last Friday of each month

Applicants are notified within ≈2 weeks of that trustee meeting
-
No formal deadlines; applications accepted at any time
