Funding support for the third sector

Plan it

Planning your organisation’s long term funding is vital for your sustainability. Whether it’s developing project business plans, writing a fundraising strategy  for individual projects or the organisation, or advising on your longer term organisational strategy, we can help.

business planning

Funding applications are really only the final stage in securing funding. To have the best chance of success it is important to have thoroughly planned your work.

At the heart of planning is ensuring that what you are doing is wanted and needed by those who are going to benefit. Being able to show people have been consulted and actively engaged in the planning and development of projects is good. Not only will it appeal to funders but will make you project more successful. Funding Eye produced this guide undertaking a community needs assessment for a project.

Funders will see hundreds of proposals, many from organisations doing similar work to your own. What will make your work stand out? Why are you unique?

Support your project need with hard evidence and statistics; there are lots of statistical websites, the census data is an easy place to start

Our Planning Support

Our focus on research and evidence will help you gather the right information and convince potential funders that your project is worth investing in. We can help with needs assessments, project reports and ongoing evaluation.

We also undertake social economic research including Local Multiplier Studies, Cost Benefit Analysis and ‘Willingness to Pay’ studies. Past studies have included an assessment of the economic impact of the closure of rural public toilet to a Multiplier study of the economic benefit of community buildings. Jon also produced the Welsh Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare with the Welsh Economy Research Unit
