Don’t forget that the lottery have changed their guidance for round 1. There is now a much stronger emphasis on the need for your project. Previously (it certainly felt like anyway) almost everything would go through round 1 and they would at that point ask for greater evidence of need in the full application if necessary.

Now that evidence is wanted to be shown at round 1. It is also important to stress the change that the project will bring for its beneficiaries. Not just say who the beneficiaries are but how they will benefit.
