The Community Fund has been established by energy company Vattenfall for the benefit of the communities hosting the wind farm in and across the upper Neath, Afan, Rhondda and Cynon Valleys.
The Fund has an annual budget of £1.8 million until 2043 and offers an amazing opportunity for local people to invest in themselves and their ideas – building on all that is best in their communities.
The Fund is managed by an independent, locally based not-for-profit Community Interest Company. The Company has six Directors and two members of staff – all with local connections and years of community engagement experience.
The 7th Round of Micro Fund is now open for applications up to £5.000. The deadline for applications is Monday 17th February and decisions will be announced at the end of March. A second round will open in June
