The Masonic Charitable Foundation Purpose: provide support in a number of areas:

Financial hardship to relieve household or individual poverty by preventing or alleviating financial hardship and its effects. ·

Health and disability to improve the lives of those affected by poor physical and/or mental health and wellbeing including the impact of caring, life-limiting and long-term illness, and learning disabilities.

Education and employability to provide educational and employment opportunities, training and other activities that enable disadvantaged children and young people to develop the skills they need to progress in life.

Social exclusion and disadvantage to relieve isolation or loneliness by removing the barriers to an active and fulfilling life.

Who can apply: Registered charities

Level of funding: Large Grant: over £5,000 for a specific purpose only. This might be to fund salary costs, specific project costs and refurbishment costs.

Charities with a turnover of over £500,000 can apply for a Small or Large grant. · Small Grant: between £500 – £5,000 for charities with a turnover below £500,000. Small grants can be used for core expenditure such as general running or overhead costs.

Deadline: Applications are considered in January, April, July and October.
