These are lotteries that are run online and that allow the player to choose which charity a proportion of the value of their ticket goes to (as long as the charity is registered with them). Two such lotteries are:
They offer a variety of ‘games’ which supporters can play with jackpots of up to £10,000 with draws ranging from once a day to once a week. There are plans to have games to win up to £100,000 that run every quarter. Players register, select the charity that they want to support and buy a batch of tickets (e.g for three weeks at a cost of £13). Both these services cost £50 to join and you must also purchase the licence from the Local Authority.

These lotteries offer an alternative to the National Lottery that allows the player to select the charity that benefits. They are easy to set up and require little ongoing effort. There is perhaps an ethical issue of whether your organisation should be promoting gambling through playing lotteries.
