Supporting Communities in Wales

I have worked in the Voluntary Sector since 1996 initially as a Development Worker for a small market town in mid Wales and now work part time as the ‘Funding Strategy Officer’ for the County Voluntary Council in Powys.  I have a wealth of experience of supporting groups with their funding and project development, from both a professional and personal experience.

I have a strong research background having worked previously for Cardiff Business School and Aberystwyth University as a Research Associate.  I have subsequently undertaken many research projects including studies for the Welsh Assembly Government, Welsh Water and the Ramblers Association.

I have experience of undertaking Feasibility Studies and Development Strategies as well as practical experience of running social enterprises / community organisations.  I have a track record of successfully developing funding streams and grant applications and a background in research and community development.

I offer value for money and always work with clients and stakeholders to ensure the desired result are achieved and to offer practical and realistic solutions. Through my work I aim to help organisations develop for their future sustainability.

About me...
Professional Code of Practice...

I am a trustee of a (Rhayader and District Community Support) that  provides a community transport service, volunteer bureau and local health initiatives in rural mid Wales.  I’m also a director of the local wildlife trust  (Radnorshire Wildlife Trust) which I supported to set up a consultancy trading arm that now generates a healthy surplus for the organisation.
