Funding Tips
I have helped many organisations secure funding from a mixture of sources including Lottery, European sources and charitable trusts. I have also worked with groups to develop their funding strategy and core funding
Rhayader and District Community Support - As chairman and now secretary I’ve overseen the purchase of a large community building, that provides accommodation for 5 other organisations a telecentre and training room. Had two successful lottery applications (each over £100,000) to provide community transport and presently seeking to develop a community nursery.
Disability Powys - Secured over £80,000 for the development of welfare rights services from the Welsh Assembly and Charitable Trusts
Powys Transport Training Agency - wrote the business plan and lottery application (for around £90,000) to develop this training agency that is now in its 6th year of operation and has generated £20,000+ of income
Mid Powys Mind - Provided support over several years to secure funding for both core and project work in excess of £50,000
Radnorshire Wildlife Trust - Secured a small grant to develop an environmental consultancy that is now generating an annual profit of over £10k
Builth Wells Community Support - Secured funding and gave advice on developing a lease for a community shop, this is now generating a health profit to support the organisations core activities
