Introduction to Internet Fundraising
Wednesday 11th June 2014 – Half day (9.30am-1.00pm) – £25 per person
This session will explain the many ways in which the internet can be used as a fundraising tool, from online donations, to shopping to advertising and more. It will show how effective the internet can be as a means at connecting with donors / supporters and using these connections to spread the news about your work. It will look briefly at the different ways of communicating with supporters online (email, Twitter, Facebook, blogs etc.) and help you plan your online fundraising campaign.

The internet has allowed groups to have a truly global audience, through this audience there is a huge potential not just for fundraising but to gain supporters, volunteers and to help more people. Yet this remains untapped by most organisations.
Website, social media and the wider internet provide an almost overwhelming range of options to engage with donors and supporters. But knowing what works, how to get people to engage with your site and how to convert this to money is a challenge. This session provides some of the answers and will help you plan a strategy to engage with people
