Projects they help fund cover three different themes – skills, employment and health & wellbeing – all of which can have an enormous impact on the lives of everyday people struggling in ex-mining towns and villages.

Past awardees have worked on all different kinds of things – we’ve helped fund employability training, IT skills workshops, language classes, after-school sports clubs, refugee and asylum seeker support, to more interesting ideas like therapeutic gardening sessions.
