The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust is seeking to fund projects by charitable organisations that help the elderly and promote music and the arts. Grants are usually in the range of £1,000 – £3,000 and are awarded for one year. The next closing date for applications is 1 June 2014. Previous award recipients have included:

• A grant towards a resource centre providing advice and training for workers dealing with mental health in rural areas.
• Funding towards a project aimed at behavioural programme for persistent young offenders.

However only about 1 in 20 projects are funded
