Jon has worked in the Voluntary Sector since 1996 initially as a Development Worker for a small market town in mid Wales and now work part time as the ‘Funding Strategy Officer’ for the County Voluntary Council in Powys. Jon has a wealth of experience of supporting groups with their funding and project development, from both a professional and personal experience.

He has a strong research background having worked previously for Cardiff Business School and Aberystwyth University as a Research Associate. Jon subsequently undertaken many research projects including studies for the Welsh Assembly Government, Welsh Water and the Ramblers Association.

Jon has experience of undertaking Feasibility Studies and Development Strategies as well as practical experience of running social enterprises / community organisations. He has a track record of successfully developing funding streams and writing grant applications and a background in research and community development.

Jon is a trustee of a (Rhayader and District Community Support) that provides a community transport service, volunteer bureau and local health initiatives in rural mid Wales.
