I have been working as a consultant since 1998.   I have been working in the voluntary sector since 1996 initially as a development worker for a small market town in mid Wales and now as the Funding Strategy Officer for the County Voluntary Council in Powys.  I have a wealth of experience of supporting groups with their funding and project development, from both a professional and personal experience.

I have a strong research background having worked previously for Cardiff Business School and Aberystwyth University as a research associate.  I have subsequently undertaken many research projects including studies for the Welsh Assembly Government, Welsh Water and the Ramblers Association.

I have experience of undertaking Feasibility Studies and Development Strategies as well as practical experience of running Social Enterprises / community organisations.  I have a track record of successfully developing funding streams and grant applications and a background in research and community development.

I offer value for money and prepared to do ‘a bit more’ to achieve the desired result and a reputation for ‘hands on’ working with clients and stakeholders to offer practical and realistic solutions.

of Practice...

I am a trustee of a successful social enterprise (Rhayader and District Community Support) that owns its own building and provides a community transport service in rural mid Wales.  I’m also a director of the local wildlife trust  (Radnorshire Wildlife Trust) which I supported to set up a consultancy trading arm that now generates a healthy surplus for the organisation
